I was a bit dismayed by one of Palin's statements during the campaign. She was asked if she would ever second-guess Israel's actions and she essentially said no, never. Friendship does not mean ignoring the wrong things done by our friends. True friendship will seek to put them on the right path. I believe Israel is on the wrong path in this conflict and the US should try to influence Israel to back off.
